Sessions
Saving sessions
vtmate can write every conversation or debate to disk in two independent formats, and both
can be combined in the same run: -s writes a plain .txt transcript
plus one .wav for the whole session, while -s-html writes a folder
with a browsable, turn-by-turn HTML player and one audio file per turn. Both work in
conversation mode and debate mode.
You don't need to decide up front, either: press Control+E
at any point while vtmate is running to open a popup and start (or stop) saving without
leaving the conversation or restarting it - pick .txt+.wav, the HTML
player, or both. While a save is running, the same popup shows the destination folder and a
"Stop recording" button.
Reading a file aloud with Read mode has
its own separate save location, ~/.vtmate/read-files - see that page for details.
